I was just invited to a shower in June and am making a chipboard name book for the baby and an altered snap suit might be just the thing to along with it. Now there is a great idea, not just to decide on a design! Thanks for all you inspiration!
When my last daughter was born I went bananas with onsies for her. I learned how to tye-dye and when that got old I'd cut appliques out of outgrown (or ugly!) dyed outfits and make new ones. I also embroidered quite a few and everyone I know who has a baby ends up with snap suits; they're just SO much fun to make!
I have never tried to alter a snapsuit and now feel inspired after seeing all of yours! My sister has a 5 month old and it would be great to make some for her little cutie! Thanks! www.scraplikecrazy.blogspot.com
I love all the different ideas! I can't wait to attempt my own creations. My BFF is having a baby in July and would love to give her a custom made gift. somosvernoy@gmail.com
Just had baby #4 on May 8th. I have never altered a onesie before but I would like to turn some of our baby girl clothes into boy clothes. Thanks for sharing all the cool tips. Heather@thelacroixs.com
I have done some freezer paper stencils and hope to do some more for my little guy and my soon to be niece or nephew! singingthreelittlebirds@gmail.com
Absolutely!! :) My husband and I don't have any babies of our own yet, but we have lots of neices/nephews and friends that have rockin' babes. Altered baby onesies are a great gift for mommy's baby showers. I've embroidered on them, appliqued, and even used the freezer paper stenciling method for baby onesies. So much fun!! icepinkstars at gmail dot com
I've altered lots, but I'm always on the lookout for new ideas. My little guy is going to be wearing lots of snapsuits this summer, and I'd love to make him some from your book!
I have 3 kids. I've only done appliques and chop away the bottom portion of onesies to turn them into tops when my babes got too long! BTW, Love this site!
