Pick me Pick Me!! I have a boxer and I have dressed her as a witch and wonder woman for Halloween. I would love to learn how to make her some costumes.
ReplyDeleteI have poodle who loves to wear sweaters.
ReplyDeleteI love the doggies in costume. I have 4 cairn terriers (totos) and would love to dress them up like characters from the Wizard of Oz. How funny would that be Totos as Dorothy and gang! I love reading about all your projects, watching you on etsy chat and stalking you on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteOur family currently has an Alaskan Husky named Karma who we rescued wihle living in Alaska. When we brought her home she was smaller than the cat and now she is 65 lbs! My girls love to play dressup and poor Karma is a good sport but would probably like to have something of her own to wear! I know my girls would love making things for her! Thanks for the chance to win!

My one eyed rescue Pekingese is named Blitzkrieg. Yes, after The Ramones song Blitzkrieg Bop. He was abused and we thought he needed a tough guy name. It took 3 years to rehabilitate him into the confident goofball he is now. We give back to the rescue community that helped us with Blitzkrieg by attending local events and telling his story, including the charity Halloween pet parade. I dressed him up as Balloon Boy. He didn't win a prize for his costume but he got his photo taken, which he likes just as much as getting treats for being such a good doggie model!
ReplyDeletemy dog is Thunder - he is a giant 17-pound Yorkie - I made him a chef hat and apron once for photos for a cook-out invitation - he looked so cute
ReplyDeleteMy Jack Russell Terrier, Millie, has been a pig, an armadillo, and a pumpkin! All crocheted outfits. She loves dressing up and posing for the camera! When I say "Millie, come and try this on!", she comes immediately and stretches out her neck for me to put the outfit on her!I'll post pics on my facebook page. http://facebook.com/shelle.hendrix
ReplyDeleteCathie...we have the cutest dog ever! Peso...a pure bred Boston Terrier that is not only smart but handsome! My daughter was just saying she wanted to make him a "taco" costume for Halloween. Last year he wore a witches cape and hat. We think given he's true name is Parker's Red Hot Peso...the taco is a bit more fitting..or a red hot dollar candy...or hey a pepper too!lol Thanks for the chance to win! ;-)

Our 12 year old Boxer Macy just lost her best friend, our other Boxer Chipper, last month to cardiomyopathy. We used to dress them up in devil and angel outfits so that the trick or treaters could see them when we answered the door. Now that he is gone and our son will be 15 months old for Halloween, it would be great to dress her in something new to go trick or treating in this year.
ReplyDeleteI have three pugs. Our black pug,Java, is a devil so we dressed him in red horns with a red cape. Our girl pug, Olive, she's as cute as a cupcake, so we put her in a cupcake sweater. Our other boy, Fosse, hates to wear anything on his body or head. We did manage to get a pumpkin head part on his head for about three seconds. The pumpkin head part mouth is where the dogs head goes, so it looks like the pumpkin is eating the dog.
ReplyDeleteMy friend sent me this link...I'm sure you can imagine why. My dogs (two Westies - Maddie & Abby) have a different costume each year. Except for the first year I had both, they are always twins. I think my favorite costume was maddie's when she was wonderwomen!! Though Abby did make a super cute ballerina when she was a puppy! I am crafty but can't sew to save my life so I buy their costumes each year - usually at the end of the season for the next year. I'd LOVE a copy of your book!!!
ReplyDeleteI have two dogs- Laney and Slade. For the past 6 years at least one of them has placed first in the fall costume contest in our old town. We've made everything from a john deere tractor costume to a lamb costume.
ReplyDeleteNow that we've moved to a much bigger city we might need to step our game up some to be winners this year. :)
My dog is named Princess Peach and she is our 75 pound bundle of cuddles. She demands constant pets....we just love her!

We have an adorable boxer named Sid Vicious that we rescued from a local shelter four years ago. He is the most amazing animal & we love to say that HE ended up rescuing US! For his first Halloween, he was Spongebob Squarepants & went trick or treating with our son in the neighborhood...it was sooooo cute! The only thing Sid doesn't do is hats, but other than that he is up for anything...as long as he can give lots of kisses while it's happening! He is such a blessing from God! Hugs & thanks for the chance! (crystalbeshear@yahoo.ca)
