How to Sew a Baby Sleep Sac : McCalls Pattern 4236

When I spotted this fabric at Jo-Ann Fabrics, I flipped out and fell in love with it!  I wanted to make something for my new little nephew and with the cold months ahead of us I thought a sleep sac would be perfect.  He loves it, his momma loves it and his daddy does too!  Next time, I would make the neck a little bigger for more room to grow.  Other than that it was a simple and quick project to make.

How to sew a "seek and find" soft book for kids.

Hey fabric hounds, mommies, aunts, grandmas and stitching fellas!  Here's an awesome project that uses up scraps of fabric.  Of course if you are a fabric junkie like me.....then I am sure you will want to visit your fabric shop and snag some prints to use.

The cover is a chevron print by Riley Blake Designs and the jumbo ric rac is theirs too.

This book is a "seek and find" book so I used prints that encourage counting, learning and exploring.  I also used prints that are story starters and a little educational too.

They are simple to put together and they are easy enough for beginner stitchers.

Valentine Onesie for Baby in Under 15 min.

You can easily whip up a Valentine tee for baby in less than 15 min.  Really you can!  Both designs are from my book, 101 Snappy Fashions.  You can check out the book at Barnes and Noble.

For the pink design, I used a rhinestone heart iron-on.  So simple.  The other design was a vintage Valentine greeting that I scanned, printed on ink-jet transfer paper and ironed to the front of the snap suit.
