My project for Better Homes and Gardens: Easy Appliqued Dish Towels!

One of my favorite things to do with fabric scraps is applique and dish towels are the perfect size for altering.  When appliqueing, I like to use a little fusible webbing for attaching first.  For this towel, I also used scrap fabric to add a border to the towel. Sew easy and they make great gifts!!

Our Trip to Dallas for the Grand Opening on The Michaels in Irving.

We had a blast at the Michaels grand opening in Irving, TX!  It was as hot as.....well you get it, but the heat didn't stop the fun!

The store is STUNNING and we had so much fun judging a Live Craft Wars event with Jo Pearson and Kyra from Michaels. 

Glossy made an appearance and was adored by all!  Thanks Michaels for all the fun and support!

Mod Podge Monday: Mod Podge Turns 45!

This past week, Steve and I were honored to be included in the Mod Podge celebration in Atlanta.  Mod Podge turned 45 years old and we launched a new line for Mod Podge. We went all out to celebrate.  Our friend Amy Anderson joined in the fun.....you can read her recap of the event here.  The queen of crafts and Michaels designer, JoAnn Pearson joined in the fun and drum roll.......Jan Wetstone the inventor of Mod Podge made an appearance.  It was so amazing to meet her!!

Highlight of my day!!!!  I am always happily surprised at the amount of creativity in people.  Earlier this year, Steve and I guest-judged on the Craft Masters webseries for Michaels.  We had an absolute blast and of course loved meeting all the contestants!  Once contestant, Kristin Huckle turned the whole event into a peep-filled diorama.   My heart skipped a beat when she tagged me in the pics......it is all so cute!!  Kristin just started her new blog.... The Flea Circus.

Pinch Pinch....Our New Craft Line for Mod Podge Releases This Weekend at #CHAShow !

Get Ready to Mod Podge!

We have been waiting months for this weekend!  After this Sunday, we will finally be able to talk about our new product line for Mod Podge!!!  We just got the next round of samples in the mail yesterday and WE LOVE IT!  Our line has been picked up by Michaels Craft Stores! (more stores to come)  The line will trickle into Michaels this MAY on an endcap and by JUNE we will be in the glue aisle for a long time.... :)

One bit of news that I am so excited about.....{{JUMPING UP AND DOWN}}......The Hot Glue Gun Helper finger caps and mat will also be available in Michaels this May/June.  They will be sold separately so now you can just get...the finger caps or the mat.
