Mod Podge Birdy....Tweet Tweet!
I fell in love with this barnyard scrapbooking paper and I just knew I had to make something with it. The paper is by The Paper Studio and the bird shape is from Michaels. The wing is the heart shape from our line of Podgeable Shapes for Mod Podge.
This was so quick to make! First, I traced the bird onto the back of the paper. Next, I cut out the bird shape. I applied a coat of Mod Podge to the back of the paper and positioned it onto the bird. I let it dry for 10 min and then top-coated with a layer of Mod Podge.
I applied the old book pages to the back of the heart Podgeable shape the same way as the bird.
I used hot glue to attach the heart Podgeable, ribbons and rhinestones to the wood bird.
Super Quick! Super Fun! xo Cathie

Sweet and Chic Mod Podge Podgeable Frame
Podgeables Picture Frame
Megan from Balancing Home has us smitten with her adorable frame! She used the bird Podgeable shape to create her embellishment. When we deigned them we had the concept of gluing them to home decor and mixed media projects in mind. We were delighted when we discovered how nicely they drilled. To learn more about drilling visit this post.
Podgeable Acrylic Shapes, Papers and Rub-ons are available all Michaels in the US and Canada.
Thanks for stoping by and I hope you enjoyed this project!

Mod Podge Monday: Dares Go First
I have been a big fan of making mini collages for sometime now. My favorite thing to do is scour the pages of old romance novels looking for interesting sentences and steamy verses. I layer them with paints, glitter and Mod Podge. Really messy and really fun stuff!
This mini art is especially sweet to me as I often call Steve...Victor. (it is his middle name) I used the rub on transfer "dare" to keep reminding myself to dare myself.
Have a great week!

Making charms with Podgeables is super easy and a little addicting! For these charms we used the small Mod Podge Podgeable shapes available at all Michaels Stores or online at Create For Less.
The papers are from our Mod Podge paper collection. The featured images are from the Travel, Romance and Classic paper packs.

I took one look at our line for Mod Podge at Michaels and I burst into tears.
IT IS REAL!
(you can learn about the Podgeables at this blog post.)
To say that I feel happy (and tired) is pretty much and understatement. Our line for Mod Podge has been a work-in-progress for so long that I hardly remember when it began. (I think it was 2007)
You can imagine the moment, when I first saw the packages being set in Michaels. I burst into uncontrollable tears. Thankfully the store had just opened and I don't think anyone saw me.
Sometimes the journey to get somewhere takes longer than you might originally predict... as this has happened with me many times....{{you can read about how I am most proud of my failures here.}}
And sometimes, even though it took longer than expected, the timing is just right....and all the bottles of Mod Podge and jars of glitter line up perfectly.
Look for our new goodies at every Micheals in the USA and Canada.
Find them here:
Right now.....on the glue aisle end cap.
By Mid-June.....in the glue aisle.
Follow me on this adventure here and here.
